Why should I get my project labeled?
Certification increases your chances of securing funding. Furthermore, for certain calls for proposals (e.g., i-demo Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), certification by a competitiveness cluster is mandatory.
Having your project certified by a competitiveness cluster serves as a guarantee of the overall quality of your innovative project and facilitates access to regional, national, and European funding. … By engaging in the certification process, you strengthen your application/project and increase your chances of securing funding.
What is labelling?
Project Monitoring
The Polymeris certification is a process for evaluating and supporting innovative projects. It helps enhance their credibility, optimize their structure, and facilitate their funding.
Why get your project labeled?
Pre-submission
- Personalized support from your project manager
- Feedback and recommendations from experts to improve the project (comprehensive evaluation grid)
- Verification of eligibility for calls for proposals (terms of reference, consortium, technical objectives, budget, etc.)
- Support from the cluster to promote the application to funding bodies (regions, the French government, BPI, the EU, etc.)
During implementation
- Implementation of post-funding support
- Communication from the cluster regarding the project (website, press release, project overview, etc.)
- Provision of a secure digital space (SharePoint)
- Organization of the annual review with funders
- Promotion of results through Polymeris tools and events (website, forums, trade shows, meetings, site visits, etc.)
Learn about the labelling committee
Each project submitted for the Polymeris label is reviewed by a panel of scientific and industry experts (within the Scientific Committee), who assess the project’s relevance by drawing on the cluster’s expertise regarding sector challenges and the priorities of funding bodies. The projects are then presented to the Labeling Committee, which meets on the third Friday of every month. The members of the certification committee come from a variety of backgrounds (industry, innovation consultancies, universities) and also include the President, the CEO, and the Director of Operations of Polymeris, as well as the chairs of the scientific and industrial committees, to ensure balanced representation of the sector.
Labelling process
*A hearing is required if:
- The label is required by the funding agency
- The project is strategic for Polymeris
- Expert opinions need to be consolidated
The Polymeris certification is based on a rigorous and transparent evaluation process designed to ensure the quality, relevance, and soundness of the projects supported by the cluster.
- Initial Project Review
All submitted projects first undergo a technical and strategic review by Polymeris’ teams and experts. This analysis assesses the project’s coherence, feasibility, financial soundness, and alignment with the cluster’s innovation themes.
At the conclusion of this stage, it is determined whether the project requires a hearing before the Certification Committee. - Evaluation with a hearing
A hearing is organized when the call for projects requires it, when the project involves a strategic issue, or when the evaluation raises points requiring discussion with the project leader.
The project is then presented to the Certification Committee, which evaluates it using the Polymeris analysis grid before issuing its certification recommendation. - Evaluation without a hearing
When possible (e.g., certain calls for proposals or projects that have already been reviewed by experts), certification may be considered without a hearing.
The project is then presented to the Certification Committee via a project form accompanied by the experts’ summary, which allows the committee to render its opinion.
