A look back at a meeting co-organized by Aerospace Valley and POLYMERIS
During the Paris Air Show 2025, Aerospace Valley and the POLYMERIS competitiveness cluster joined forces to highlight a strategic topic for the future of aeronautics: composite materials.
Organized in the prestigious setting of the Chalet de la Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, this meeting brought together a panel of experts, manufacturers, and partners for an hour to explore the key issues related to these innovative materials. Advanced design, structural lightweighting, performance, reliability, and environmental sustainability are all essential themes for building lighter, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly aeronautics.
A meeting rich in exchanges and perspectives
The objective of this event was threefold:
- Present the latest technological advances in the field of composites,
- Share best practices from the field,
- Draw inspiration from concrete initiatives led by industry stakeholders.
We were honored to welcome Mr. Alain Rousset, President of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, who came to support this regional and national innovation drive. Alongside him, representatives from major industry players—Airbus, Coriolis Composites, Latecoere, DUQUEINE Group, Hexcel Corporation, Greenfib, and Nova Carbon—shared their vision and projects, demonstrating the technological excitement in the sector.
Looking to the future
A particular focus was devoted to the Strategic Sector Committee (CSF) and the importance of collectively structuring the composites sector in France. The event also served as an opportunity to announce the highly anticipated return of R4 Composites, which will be held in Bordeaux in October 2026. This event is already establishing itself as an essential highlight for all stakeholders in the composites sector in France and internationally.
