Recipients of Incircular cascade financing have begun their projects

INCIRCULAR is a European project in which Polymeris is a partner, supporting innovation in the participating European regions. The project partners are working on the circularity of plastics in the household appliances sector. To support inter-regional innovation, the project has received funding (360k€) from the European Commission, to be redistributed to 6 innovative SME projects.

Following the opening of the cascade call for projects, and independent evaluation of the applications received, 6 innovative projects were selected. Of these, one French winner, PLAS'TRI, began its 12-month PITS project in March 2025. Its aim is to design an identification system and algorithm adapted to waste, and to plan its integration into the industrial process. Ultimately, it will provide the test company, Gorenje, with a pure, well-qualified source of waste for high value-added recycling.

The 5 other funded projects also offer solutions for sorting and shredding the plastics to be recycled, and for injecting the recycled plastic into a connected mold.

These 6 projects started in March 2025 and will be followed by Polymeris and the rest of the consortium until February 2026, when they will provide a final deliverable including the conclusions of their project.
