Polymeris a accueilli une délégation européenne en Nouvelle-Aquitaine

On March 17 and 18, 2026, Polymeris hosted a Catalan delegation in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, comprising representatives from ACCIÓ, Cluster Development, and Clúster MAV, as part of a study tour focused on advanced materials.

The purpose of this visit was to explore the regional ecosystem for advanced materials and to gain a better understanding of the dynamics of innovation and industrial collaboration in France, with a particular focus on Polymeris’ activities. As a leading cluster in the field of polymers and advanced materials, Polymeris plays a key role in supporting innovative companies and developing collaborative projects on a European scale.

Over the course of the two days, the delegation met with several key players in the regional ecosystem, including ACD Nouvelle-Aquitaine and ADI Nouvelle-Aquitaine, as well as several member companies of Polymeris:

  • Epsilon Composite, a company specializing in advanced composite materials and carbon fiber-based solutions for sectors such as aerospace, energy, and sports;
  • Applus+ Rescoll, an expert in the testing, validation, and characterization of advanced materials;
  • Nova Carbon, an innovative company focused on the development and recycling of carbon fibers for more sustainable industrial applications.

The discussions addressed several strategic issues for the advanced materials sector: the growing importance of circularity, recycling as a technological driver, the importance of market orientation in innovation initiatives, and the essential role of testing and certification in accelerating the time-to-market for innovations.

This study tour is part of an initiative led by ACCIÓ with the support of Cluster Development to update the strategy for the advanced materials sector in Catalonia based on inspiring European examples.

Polymeris is delighted to have contributed to this initiative and thanks all the partners and companies involved in these exchanges, which help strengthen European collaboration in the field of advanced materials.
