INCIRCULAR: Final Interregional Meeting in Oyonnax

The INCIRCULAR project continues its commitment to circular plastics in Europe through a new workshop focused on scaling up to industrial levels and replicating circular solutions across regions.

Held on April 16, 2026, in Oyonnax, at the heart of France’s Plastic Valley, the event “The Present and Future of Circular Plastics in Europe: From Industrial Demonstration to Interregional Scale-Up” brought together clusters, manufacturers, SMEs, and public stakeholders to discuss the levers for transforming industrial demonstrators into circular solutions that can be deployed at scale.

The discussions highlighted the key role of European clusters in accelerating the adoption of circular materials, particularly through interregional cooperation, technology transfer, and networking with manufacturers.

Several pilot projects and concrete case studies were also presented, illustrating the potential for replicating circular innovations across various industrial sectors, from the automotive industry to household appliances.

Finally, the event served as a reminder of the importance of the European framework, with presentations on European policies regarding circular plastics and funding mechanisms supporting the scaling up of innovative solutions.
