Presentation of European and international opportunities at the Materials Life Cycle Club on June 24th thanks to the European GREENSMARTMED project

On June 24, 2025, the Polymeris Materials Life Cycle Club met at the premises of Matéri’Act, a member and partner of the cluster, for a day rich in discussions dedicated to the challenges of eco-design, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and circularity. This club, which regularly brings together manufacturers, technical centers and academic partners, aims to promote collective skills development and the sharing of experiences around the end of life and sustainability of materials.

To achieve this objective, the GREENSMARTMED project has developed a toolbox bringing together a set of mechanisms, funding programs, and support networks at the regional, national, European, and international levels. This tool helps better guide companies based on their maturity, innovation objectives, and environmental priorities.

During this presentation within the Club, around twenty participants were able to discover this toolbox and benefit from an overview of the opportunities available to support their projects on a European scale. The exchange also made it possible to identify certain concrete needs, which will be explored in more depth as part of the follow-up actions of Polymeris and its European partners involved in the project.

Other interregional meetings will be organized as soon as the school year begins as part of the project in order to disseminate these tools more widely and promote networking between project leaders and support systems. The toolbox will be presented again at the next “Life Cycle of Materials & Composites” interclub, which will be held on September 16, 2025 in Bandol, in order to update the opportunities offered, to best support the cluster’s members in their sustainable development and collaborative innovation strategy and to deepen the discussions launched during the June 24 club.
