Polymeris hosted a European delegation in Nouvelle-Aquitaine

On March 17 and 18, 2026, Polymeris hosted a Catalan delegation in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, comprising representatives from ACCIÓ, Cluster Development, and Clúster MAV, as part of a study tour focused on advanced materials.

The purpose of this visit was to explore the regional ecosystem for advanced materials and to gain a better understanding of the dynamics of innovation and industrial collaboration in France, with a particular focus on Polymeris’ activities. As a leading cluster in the field of polymers and advanced materials, Polymeris plays a key role in supporting innovative companies and developing collaborative projects on a European scale.

In a context of tighter regulations, increased vigilance regarding content/container interactions (CCI), and high consumer expectations in terms of safety, anticipating the toxicological risks associated with cosmetic packaging has become a strategic issue.

Led by POLYMERIS, CosmetoPack®II is part of this dynamic, offering a scientific, collaborative, and forward-looking approach. It has been recognized nationally as the winner of the Predictions Award at Comestic 360, highlighting its structuring role for the industry.

This year, CosmetoPack®II is taking a new step forward by opening a community.

20 years of Competitiveness Clusters

On December 4, the Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty hosted the 20th anniversary celebration of the Competitiveness Clusters, bringing together the entire national innovation ecosystem: competitiveness clusters, innovative French companies, investors, and institutional players. This event, organized at the initiative of the Directorate-General for Enterprise (DGE) and the French Association of Competitiveness Clusters (AFPC), provided an opportunity to look back on two decades of structural actions in support of the economic and technological development of the regions.

GAIO : A collective response to OEM carbon requirements with Polymeris and elanova

Faced with growing demands from automotive manufacturers (OEMs) to reduce their carbon footprint, the plastics industry must accelerate its transformation. To support this transition, Polymeris has joined the new GAIO consortium as a founding member, alongside Elanova and Physis Solutions.
The goal is to develop a collective, structured, and operational response to help manufacturers measure, manage, and reduce their carbon impact.
 
Why create a consortium? A response to OEM carbon obligations
 
OEMs now require their suppliers to provide reliable environmental data, particularly the carbon value of parts and materials.
For many manufacturers, this data is complex to produce due to a lack of harmonized methodologies and appropriate tools.

We are proud to announce that CosmetoPack®II has been awarded for the Jury's favorite PREDICTIONS category. This recognition encourages us to deepen our knowledge in the scientific understanding of container/content interactions to provide the profession with an effective digital solution in the near future.

During the Cosmetic 360° in 2023, the ambition of CosmetoPack®'s phase I was to create a specific, simple and cost-effective protocol to assess the potential migration and dangerousness of substances between plastic packaging and cosmetic formulations.

EUREKA 2025 transnational R&D calls for projects

Two EUREKA 2025 calls for proposals are currently open to support international collaborative R&D projects.

The first call focuses on lightweighting materials and covers topics such as lightweight design, advanced materials, additive manufacturing, and recycling. It is open to companies from 13 countries, including France, with funding provided by Bpifrance (up to 80% for SMEs). Projects must involve at least two entities from two different countries, have a non-profit purpose, and have a maximum duration of 36 months.
