POLYTRONICS, which grew out of the European program “Digitizing European Industry,” is an EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub) bringing together stakeholders working to create a one-stop shop, either physical or virtual. Its goal is to connect companies in the polymer materials sector (plastics, textiles, composites, and rubber) with the resources and ecosystems they need to successfully complete their digital transformation.

POLYTRONICS supports these companies through artificial intelligence (AI) in two areas of innovation:

• Product innovation, focused on designing innovative polymer products that incorporate features such as printed electronics
• Process innovation, using AI to improve manufacturing processes, energy and resource management, and product quality while reducing scrap rates.
